- advised and implemented in the steering committee for the development of the “Leadership Development Program” at San Francisco State University.

‘Global Peer Education’

This project consists of a team of peer and health educators collaborating with other health care professionals and peer educators. This project is funded by a grant through the Marian Wright Edelman Institute supporting new interventions in public health through the use of technology and community educational sites in underdeveloped countries, and is in collaboration with WiRED (World Internet Resources for Education and Development) International organization.

‘Online Health Education’ at SFSU
San Francisco, CA. USA 1999-2002
An online interactive educational method that allows privacy while providing information. The site consists of an online anonymous forum where qualified health educators address questions within a 48-hour frame, links to organizations and resources on campus, facts on HIV/AIDS, statistics, topic of the week and an archive of previous topics. This was the first project to run by Peer Educators using online technology at San Francisco State University and has served as a prototype model in program development manuals for state universities and other college campuses nationwide.
